thecanadiantraveler:Hotel La Florimay, Montmagny, QuebecI stayed at the Hf4tel Le Florimay on a road trip from Toronto to Nova Scotia. We didn't pick the hotel for any parulctiar reason, in fact, we just stopped because we'd driven past Quebec City, got tired, and there wasn't a major hotel chain for 150 kilometres.Le Florimay turned out to be an excellent choice. The staff were pleasant, courteous, and offered excellent service in both official languages (phew). The rooms were clean and well appointed, the furniture looked quite new, and well kept not what you'd expect from a hotel on the cheaper end of the spectrum. We were offered a full continental breakfast in the morning included in our $88 room rental (regular $98 during peak season our stay, August 18th, 2010 but discounted, gratiously, because we arrived at 10 pm).The hotel turned out to be an ideal stopping place, great location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms all for a reasonable rate.I'd definitely recommend it, in fact, I'm already making arrangements to stay their on the return trip.A few words of wisdom, though: you aren't hearing loose birds flying around the atrium as you enter it's part of Hf4tels L’Oiselie8re group or at least has the same owners, and they have a couple of love birds hanging out in the lobby.

I remember seineg a show quite a few years ago that was a sort of expose about the civil servants who are supposed to find illegals and deport them. They have to meet a quota and deport a certain number of people every month. So what they do is go after people who are easy to find--people who use their real names and don't keep changing addresses. Most of the people they deport seem to be stable, honest people who have over stayed their visa for some reason. The real criminals keep changing their names and moving around, so they are hard to find. It would be too much work to find them, so they seldom get deported.

Hmmm...Not always...

Sunshine was a good recent sci fi movie that raised some thought provoking issues and wasn't a run of the mill movie...

The Knowing I loved and Alex Proyas is a fantastic director. The underlying theme for the basis of religions was very good...Just still not 100% on Nicholas Cage as a stalwart hero type...

You got to remember these movies are made for the lowest common denominator IQ wise, and US audiences as a generalisation need/want spoon feeding and not to have to think about anything...Look at there system of government...If a cowboy like Ronald Regan, father and son liek George Bush Sr AND Jr can get in the White House....Well......

As for GI Joe, there's nothing wrong with a little mindless entertainment every now and then, especially with Sienna MILLER in it....Hmmmm...Layer Cake......

Yeah, looks very different to what I thought G.I Joe was - actually had me surprised after seeing the trailer that it was a G.I Joe movie, thought it was some other new sci fi action flick ???

Looks like it'll be another good CGI action, low intellect content movie, but then that's what Hollywood seems to be all about these days when it comes to action movies...
