LG Flatron L1980Q
The LG Flatron L1980Q is an elegant-looking, 19-inch-diagonal LCD with interesting new features — notably a super-flexible stand that’s the best for giving presentations we’ve seen — and fast response time — rated at 8 milliseconds, blowing 16ms and 25ms panels away for users who want absolutely no ghosting or streaking with fast-moving games or video.

LG Flatron L1980Q Reviews
Techspot reviews the LG Flatron L1980Q LCD Monitor and writes - ‘The LG1980Q is an absolutely gorgeous looking monitor. On the exterior, the shiny silver is sleek looking, and the white rear of the monitor seems to contrast perfectly. The screen itself is extremely thin, and very versatile. The monitor output looked wonderful while gaming with no ghosting noticed to cramp the experience.
Those are all positive factors that make us recommend this monitor; however that doesn?t mean it didn?t come with its shortcomings. Could we say the monitor seemed over-engineered for the average home user? For example, while some may find the tilt feature very useful, in my case this is something I would never use. Whenever I shuffled things around the desk, the monitor would end up spinning a little, having to move it back to place every now and then.’
Hardwarecentral reviews the LG Flatron L1980Q monitor too. They write - ‘Overall, we were impressed with the monitor, albeit more for its flexibility than its price/performance. But if your 19-inch LCD shopping list has a higher-than-usual number of checklist items — portrait/landscape pivoting, fast refresh, customer presentations — the L1980Q is a better-than-average pick.’
LaptopMag reviews the LG Flatron L1980Q monitor and writes - ‘The L1980Q claims to have an 8-ms pixel response time, a measurement of how fast it can switch pixels, but this is an unreliable number since response time is often culled differently from one manufacturer to the next (see sidebar). Nevertheless, there was no perceptible lag while playing pixel-heavy 3D games like Doom 3.
There’s no question that the LG may not be the best value. Sony includes a TV tuner, speakers, and a subwoofer in their model for the same price as this panel. However, the Flatron L1980Q is the sexiest-looking monitor you can buy.’
